Cannabidiol, or CBD for short, is one of over 100 naturally occurring plant compounds known as “phytocannabinoids”, found within the hemp plant. CBD is a non-psychoactive phytocannabinoid that offers a broad range of uses and benefits within the body, due to the way in which it binds itself to our body’s own natural endocannabinoid system (ECS) receptors. Omega Leaf CBD Oil products are composed of CBD oil extract and a “carrier oil”- MCT (medium-chain-triglycerides) oil. MCT oil, such as that found in the coconut oil ingredient used in Omega Leaf products, is essentially a healthy fat that has been known to promote weight loss and regulate metabolism, and has been reported in helping to reduce the buildup of lactic acid in post-workout athletes. MCT coconut oil is an ingredient used in Omega Leaf and other quality CBD oil tinctures, because your body absorbs CBD oil much more readily when introduced via a carrier oil such as coconut MCT. Like any other supplement or outside agent, CBD is introduced to your body’s system via your bloodstream. This is called “bioavailability”- the portion of a substance that enters the body’s circulation and is able to have an effect. The method of use that allows for the greatest bioavailability of CBD is “sublingually”- which is just a fancy way of saying “under the tongue”.
CBD enters the bloodstream from the membranes beneath your tongue, and will begin to take initial effect relatively quickly. The effects can usually be noticed within a range of 30 minutes up to a few hours- although, each person’s body will naturally react somewhat differently. Also, the broader effects of CBD oil may fluctuate during the first several weeks of initial and consistent use, as your body continues to regulate the newly-introduced CBD to your own endocannabinoid system. Increasing or decreasing your CBD frequency of use and strength levels, until your body’s ECS works synergistically, is not only a common occurrence, but is actually strongly suggested. The industrial hemp that Omega Leaf sources from our Kentucky farms yields high levels of CBD, while containing levels of THC below 0.3%. The amounts of CBD and other non-psychoactive phytocannabinoids (such as CBN, CBG, CBC, CBL, etc.) range tremendously between the hundreds of “CBD-brand” companies on the market today. Some companies do not verify their content of CBD, THC, pesticides or other components, with readily available lab reports- while many other brands offer only a basic, 1-page lab report, showing little detail.
At Omega Leaf CBD, we are up front and transparent, inviting you to view a FULL 6-page report conducted by an independent 3rd-party lab. Our reports (found here) disclose our levels of CBD, THC and other phytocannabinoids such as necessary terpenes and flavonoids, while also providing you with solid verification of the absence of undesirable elements- such as pesticides, heavy metals, and other soil contaminants.
To keep things as simple as possible, here is the breakdown: Marijuana and Hemp are both actually derived from the same plant origin- Cannabis. Marijuana contains very low levels of CBD and very high levels of THC (THC is the psychoactive phytocannabinoid that gets the user “high”). Hemp is the opposite- it contains very high levels of CBD and other cannabinoids, and for it to be federally legal, it must contain less than 0.3% THC. Most marijuana usually contains between 5-30% THC- up to 100 times the amount found in industrial hemp.
Marijuana has only been legalized in about a dozen states, and is still illegal at the federal level. As of the signing of the Farm Bill in December 2018, industrial hemp (containing less than 0.3% THC by dry weight volume) is legal on a federal level, and legal in 47 U.S. states- all but Idaho, South Dakota, and Nebraska.
Omega Leaf uses ONLY 100% legal, industrial hemp-derived CBD Oil in all of our products. We currently offer “Full-Spectrum” products, which contain up to 0.3% THC, along with dozens of other cannabinoids. We also offer “THC-FREE Isolate” products, which only contain pure CBD, and have ZERO THC or any other phytocannabinoids. Finally, we are excited to announce that we will be expanding our product offering to include “Broad-Spectrum” CBD Oil products, by the Fall of 2020. Broad-Spectrum CBD Oil contains CBD and dozens of other phytocannabinoids- just like Full-Spectrum Oil. But unlike Full-Spectrum Oil, Broad-Spectrum does NOT contain any THC. You can read more about the differences between “Full-Spectrum CBD”, “Broad-Spectrum CBD” and “CBD Isolate” here.
Hemp seed extract, usually referred to as hemp seed oil or even just “hemp oil”, contains little to none of the CBD and other beneficial phytocannabinoids that pure CBD hemp extract contains. It is relatively inexpensive to manufacture and is often used in industries such as furniture and hair care products.
Extracting and refining pure CBD oil from the entire hemp plant is simply a whole different process than that of hemp seed oil extraction- and is considerably more difficult and expensive to achieve. As mentioned throughout our site, Omega Leaf uses our own safe, ultra-clean process of a steam distillation and CO2 variant extraction method, to produce high quality, pure CBD oil. For more information explaining the differences between CBD Oil and Hemp Seed Oil, take a moment to review this article.
NO- you will not get “high” from any Omega Leaf products. Hemp-derived cannabidiol (CBD), is a non-psychoactive compound and produces no “psychotropic or euphoric feelings”. It is NOT a mind-altering drug, and cannot cause you to get “high”.
Our “THC-FREE CBD Isolate” products are exactly that- ZERO THC! Our “Full-Spectrum” CBD products contain less than 0.3% THC. Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the psychoactive compound found abundantly in marijuana plants (typically ranging between 5%-30%). Omega Leaf’s hemp-derived THC-Free Isolate Oil contains 0.0% THC, and our Full-Spectrum CBD Oil contains only a minimally trace amount of THC (less than 0.3%), and is not nearly enough to cause you to experience any psychotropic effects.
We have specifically sourced farms in the state of Kentucky, where the majority of these fields have been growing organic crops, including industrial hemp, for a number of years- and the farmers have stayed true to these methods. The hemp is seeded, grown, and harvested using organic-compliant practices, to minimize and even eliminate the presence of herbicides & pesticides, as well as heavy metals and other soil contaminants. Our hemp is grown in full compliance with applicable Kentucky state law and State Department of Agriculture regulations, as well as with Section 7606 of the federal 2014 U.S. Farm Bill and the more extensive 2018 U.S. Farm Bill.
We are very proud to say that our CBD is extracted and processed in an FDA-certified and cGMP/ISO 22716 accredited facility, located in the heartland of Tennessee. We utilize our own safe, ultra-clean blend of steam distillation and CO2 extraction methods, in order to conduct and to produce the respective results- a CBD isolated extract for our “THC-FREE Isolate” CBD products and a complete botanical plant extract for our “Full-Spectrum” CBD products. We never use ethanol or any other harmful, solvent-based extraction methods. Additionally, all of our flavored products are infused with 100% USA-sourced natural ingredients, such as mint, vanilla, and various fruit extracts.
Yes. Omega Leaf products are all hemp-derived CBD, containing less than 0.3% THC, and are 100% federally legal as of the signing of the 2018 U.S. Farm Bill in December of 2018. While CBD is legal on a federal level across the entire U.S., 3 states- Idaho, South Dakota, and Nebraska- still choose to keep CBD banned, for now. Omega Leaf chooses to respect the boundaries and decisions of those states, and for that reason, we do not conduct business in those 3 states.
Marijuana, whether medical grade or not, and whether it has been legalized, decriminalized, or is still illegal in any given state, has no bearing whatsoever on your ability to legally purchase or use hemp-derived CBD Oil containing anything less than 0.3% THC.

Since the passing and signing of the expanded U.S. Farm Bill in December of 2018, industrial hemp products containing less than 0.3% THC (on a dry weight basis as defined by the Colorado Department of Agriculture) are federally legal and can legally ship nationwide. However, due to individual state laws, Omega Leaf CBD is currently choosing NOT to ship to the states of Idaho, Nebraska, and South Dakota. Also, due to high tariff taxes on imports and/or CBD bans by certain countries, we currently do not ship internationally. In the near future, we expect to broaden our market to ship to Canada, Mexico, and over a dozen other countries globally! View our full Shipping Policy by clicking here.
We offer refunds for orders purchased within the last 30 days. If you would like to return or exchange any products you’ve ordered from Omega Leaf CBD, please send us an email at returns@omegaleafcbd.com.

“THC-Free Isolate” is our CBD Oil product that contains no other hemp plant components whatsoever. There are no other cannabinoids, flavonoids, terpenes or any other hemp plant compounds- basically, it’s just pure CBD!
“Full-Spectrum” CBD Oil refers to the presence of not only CBD (cannabidiol) and up to 0.3% THC, but also other compounds, such as dozens of other cannabinoids, flavonoids, and terpenes, which are necessary in facilitating what is commonly known in the field as the “Entourage Effect”. While scores of consumers have touted the positive effects of taking CBD Isolate Oil, it is also commonly believed that the symbiotic relationship (the “Entourage Effect”) between cannabinoids such as CBD, CBG, CBN, CBC, THC and dozens of others, work together to yield an even greater beneficial effect than just CBD alone.
“Broad-Spectrum” CBD Oil is the third, and most difficult to produce, type of CBD Oil product. Broad-Spectrum CBD extract is sometimes referred to as “PCR”, short for “phytocannabinoid rich”. You can think of Broad-Spectrum CBD products as somewhat of a “middle ground” between CBD Isolate and Full Spectrum CBD. They contain nearly all of the same cannabinoids, flavonoids, terpenes and other components of the hemp plant as Full-Spectrum extract- with the exception of THC. Broad-Spectrum CBD Oil, like CBD Isolate Oil, contains 0.0% THC compounds. Extracting CBD and the dozens of other cannabinoids from raw hemp, while being certain to filter out any remnants of THC components, is extremely difficult. The CBD industry as a whole is only a few years into the making, and has only really gained popularity among savvy consumers within the past year or so.
Using our own safe, ultra-clean blend of steam distillation and CO2 extraction methods, we are currently able to produce a CBD isolated extract for our “THC-FREE” CBD products and a complete botanical plant extract for our “Full-Spectrum” CBD products. As mentioned above, the process for refining raw hemp extract into a Broad-Spectrum CBD Oil finished product is much more complicated than some other companies may lead consumers to believe. After many months of testing and perfecting our extraction and refinement process, we are proud to announce that we are in the final stages of production on this front, and will soon be adding Broad-Spectrum CBD Oil to our product lineup by Fall of 2020!
This is a very significant question and is important for consumers to know. There are a variety of ways in which you can make CBD Oil bioavailable- remember, that simply means “the portion of a substance that enters the body’s circulation and is able to have an effect”. To learn more about this topic, read our article “CBD Bioavailability”. With that being said, there are a hundred different companies out there who sell CBD in every form one can think of, including products such as gummies, capsules, vape cartridges, roll-ons, creams, sprays, beverage enhancers- even tooth picks, and more! However, any medical professional, or even a quick web search, will tell you that the most effective and most healthy means of introducing CBD Oil into the body’s bloodstream is via sublingual membrane absorption. That’s just a fancy way of saying “let Omega Leaf CBD Oil sit underneath your tongue for about 2 minutes before swallowing any remainder”. This method combines the greatest degree of safety with the highest degree of bioavailability. This method is NOT the same as simply adding water-soluble drops to a beverage. The acid in your stomach, coupled with the bacteria in your gut and the entire digestive process, is one of the body’s most effective means of neutralizing foreign substances. You want your body to work with CBD Oil, not against it.
Again, part of our Mission here at Omega Leaf, is to deliver the awesome benefit of pure CBD Oil to everyone we possibly can. And that entails only offering those products which we know and believe will actually work for you. If you haven’t noticed by now, Omega Leaf only offers CBD Oil Tinctures and Topical Creams. We choose to focus on what we know works, rather than wasting time marketing and selling our customers every product type imaginable and simply attaching the word “CBD” to it. It is our hope that our sincere efforts to provide you with only high-quality CBD products will shine through the chaos and confusion that can sometimes accompany the CBD market.
Omega Leaf CBD products have a shelf-life of 1-2 years, if stored properly in a cool, dry environment, away from direct light. But don’t worry- to experience the most reliable results, you should be using your CBD products frequently enough that you’ll run out well before they ever expire (even if you leave them on a counter with direct light). For example, a 30 mL bottle of Omega Leaf CBD Oil yields 30-60 servings, and should last anywhere between 15-60 days, depending upon your body’s current needs and tolerance levels.
If possible, keeping your Omega Leaf CBD Oil in your fridge (but not your freezer!) is a good idea. For best results, keep your products in their original packaging, and away from heat or heat-generating appliances, such as your microwave or oven.
Omega Leaf cannot guarantee or promise that you will pass or fail a drug screening. Every individual’s body processes and metabolizes CBD, THC, and other compounds differently. Each scenario is unique, and each drug screening institution may test for different standards. Certain drug screenings may test only for the presence of “THC” (tetrahydrocannabinol), while others may test for a “full cannabinoids profile”, which could be triggered by even trace amounts of THC, or even CBD. Ultimately, you can always choose to contact the drug screening lab ahead of time.
Omega Leaf sources our 100% legal industrial hemp from Kentucky, and we extract and process our raw hemp into CBD Oil at our FDA-certified, cGMP/ISO 22716 accredited facility in Tennessee. We offer both Full-Spectrum and THC-Free Isolate products, and will soon be offering Broad-Spectrum CBD. Each of our products contain less than 0.3% THC, or even zero detectable amount of THC at all (you can always view all of our product COA Reports by clicking here).
